Godrej Consumer Products Limited and Atypical Advantage launch an inclusion toolkit.

Share

Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL), in partnership with Atypical Advantage, has launched the ‘Work That Includes’ inclusion toolkit, designed to help manufacturers increase workplace accessibility and boost disability employment. The toolkit provides actionable guidance on job mapping, ISL learning, accessibility planning, and factory readiness, addressing India’s low representation of persons with disabilities in industrial environments.

Why this matters

Manufacturing remains one of the slowest sectors to adopt disability inclusion due to legacy infrastructure, productivity assumptions, and safety stereotypes. The new toolkit aims to close critical gaps by offering practical frameworks companies can implement immediately not just policy suggestions.

Leadership Speak

Vineet Saraiwala, Founder, Atypical Advantage:

“The 2.21% official disability figure understates the true scale of underrepresentation in India. Manufacturing has lagged in inclusion due to outdated assumptions around productivity and safety.”

Vaibhav Ram, Global Head – HR, GCPL:

“GCPL has already hired more than 20 persons with disabilities across our factories, with plans to scale further. Disability inclusion is not a choice, it is a necessity. The toolkit gives companies a strong starting point and equips them with real-world learnings to take the next step.”

Key outcome

The ‘Work That Includes’ toolkit is positioned as a practical, industry-ready inclusion playbook, helping organisations move from awareness to action strengthening workforce diversity, productivity, and factory culture.
