Industry veteran Gunjan Srivastava has been appointed CEO & MD of MIRC Electronics, stepping in to lead the revival of iconic Indian brand Onida.
With over a decade at BSH Home Appliances as CEO for India and later UK & Ireland, Srivastava brings deep experience in scaling premium appliance portfolios and driving operational transformation. His leadership journey also includes senior roles at Philips, Sennheiser, and Apollo Health and Lifestyle Limited, giving him cross-category exposure across electronics, audio, and healthcare retail.
Founded over four decades ago, Onida was once synonymous with aspirational Indian households but has struggled amid intensifying competition from global and domestic consumer electronics brands. Srivastava now faces the challenge of repositioning the brand, sharpening product innovation, and strengthening distribution in a price-sensitive, fast-evolving market.
