India is accelerating its AI-driven creator ecosystem with a free, two-phase training programme running through 2026, aimed at creators, students, and media professionals. The initiative focuses on GenAI, prompting, storytelling, and AI tools, helping participants build future-ready content and media skills.

The programme is backed by Ashwini Vaishnaw, with support from Google India, where Gunjan Soni highlighted AI’s growing role in helping creators scale content, improve productivity, and reach wider audiences.

This initiative reflects a broader national strategy to strengthen India’s digital content economy, where creators are becoming key drivers of media, marketing, and entertainment growth. With AI tools lowering production barriers, the focus is now shifting to skill development, content quality, and global reach.

Why this matters: AI is rapidly changing how content is created, edited, and distributed. Training creators in AI tools can significantly increase content output, reduce costs, and improve storytelling quality, making Indian creators more competitive globally.

Bottom line: India’s investment in AI creator education signals a long-term push to build a global-scale creator economy powered by AI skills.
