Pillar has secured funding led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Crucible Capital, Gallery Ventures, and Dara Khosrowshahi. Founded by Harsha Ramesh and Chinmay Deshpande, the company is reimagining how businesses manage financial risk.

Pillar’s platform automates hedging across commodities, foreign exchange, and freight, using real-time data and AI-driven models to continuously monitor and optimise risk exposure. Instead of periodic, manual decision-making, it enables a dynamic, always-on risk management system.

This approach reflects a broader shift in enterprise operations, where companies are adopting AI to handle complex, data-intensive processes that were traditionally resource-heavy and reactive. As global volatility increases, the demand for real-time, automated risk solutions is growing rapidly.

By making advanced hedging more accessible, Pillar is positioning itself at the intersection of fintech, AI, and enterprise decision-making.Risk management is evolving from manual processes to continuous, AI-driven systems.

Bottom line: Pillar’s platform signals how AI could democratise advanced risk management, making it scalable and accessible for businesses of all sizes.
