The UAE Cyber Security Council and IBM will launch a new Innovation Centre in Abu Dhabi, announced during Make It In The Emirates 2026. The initiative is designed to strengthen the UAE’s role as a global hub for secure, responsible AI and cyber innovation.
The centre will bring together government entities, industry leaders, academia, and global technology partners to collaborate on trusted AI, cyber resilience, governance frameworks, and advanced digital technologies.
Led by Dr Mohamed Alkuwaiti and Shukri Eid, the partnership will focus on co-developing local talent, scalable AI and cybersecurity solutions, and policy frameworks capable of supporting both regional and global markets.
The move reflects the UAE’s broader ambition to lead in AI governance, digital infrastructure, and next-generation cyber capabilities, while building long-term technological self-reliance.Countries are increasingly investing in trusted AI and cyber ecosystems as strategic national infrastructure.
