Saudi Aramco has partnered with Pasqal to deploy the Kingdom’s first quantum computer and the Middle East’s first commercial Quantum Computing as a Service (QCaaS) platform.
Built on Pasqal’s 200-qubit neutral-atom technology, the platform will support advanced applications across AI, energy optimisation, drilling, logistics, and carbon storage, strengthening the region’s push into next-generation computing infrastructure.
The initiative aligns closely with Saudi Vision 2030, which prioritises deep-tech innovation, economic diversification, and the development of high-value digital industries across the Kingdom.
By combining quantum computing with AI and industrial-scale energy operations, the collaboration aims to unlock faster simulations, complex optimisation models, and more efficient resource management for large enterprise environments.
The move also positions Saudi Arabia as an emerging regional hub for quantum technology, advanced computing, and AI-driven industrial transformation. Quantum computing is increasingly viewed as a strategic technology capable of accelerating breakthroughs across energy, logistics, AI, and scientific research.
Bottom line: Saudi Aramco’s partnership with Pasqal signals a major step toward building commercial quantum infrastructure and deep-tech leadership in the Middle East.
