NVIDIA has officially joined the India Deep Tech Alliance, joining forces with Qualcomm Ventures and Kalaari Capital to accelerate the nation’s deep-tech innovation ecosystem. The alliance is spearheading an $850 million funding initiative aimed at startups in #AI, semiconductors, and robotics, providing not only capital but also mentorship, technical guidance, and policy insights from global industry leaders.
As part of the collaboration, NVIDIA will support founders with cutting-edge expertise, helping them navigate technical challenges, optimize product development, and connect to global networks. This move aligns with India’s ambition to become a world-leading hub for deep-tech R&D, driving both innovation and high-value job creation.
Sriram Viswanathan, founding managing partner at Celesta Capital, told Reuters, “With increasing government support, there’s no better time for India to focus on deep tech. The voluntary pooling of capital and expertise mirrors initiatives like NASSCOM, helping startups overcome funding gaps while scaling globally.”
The alliance marks a pivotal moment in India’s technology journey, combining investment, mentorship, and policy support to empower the next generation of innovators. By fostering breakthroughs in AI, robotics, and semiconductor technologies, the initiative positions India at the forefront of the global deep-tech revolution, driving competitiveness, innovation, and economic growth.
