Abu Dhabi Customs Partners with 7X to Drive Digital Transformation and Enhance Operational Efficiency

The General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs has taken a significant step towards digital transformation by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 7X, a leading investment holding group specializing in trade, transport, and logistics. This collaboration marks a key milestone in Abu Dhabi Customs’ strategic efforts to enhance operational efficiency, foster innovation, and streamline business operations through the adoption of 7X’s cutting-edge platforms, including Wayn and Waslah.

The MoU was signed by H.E. Mubarak Matar Al Mansoori, Executive Director of the Operations Sector at Abu Dhabi Customs, and Tariq Ahmed Al Wahedi, Group CEO of 7X. The signing ceremony, attended by senior officials from both organizations, reflects the UAE’s commitment to supporting digital transformation and enhancing integration between government entities and leading national organizations. This partnership aims to provide seamless, innovative solutions that cater to the ever-growing demands of eCommerce and international trade.

One of the key components of the agreement is the integration of the Wayn service, a UAE Digital P.O. Box, which will allow Abu Dhabi Customs to obtain a verified and permanent digital address for internal and client communications. This will significantly enhance cybersecurity, streamline document exchanges, and improve the management of bills, parcels, and official government correspondence. Additionally, the Waslah platform, a fully integrated logistics and eCommerce shipment management solution, will help improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the overall customer experience, ensuring seamless integration across logistics and trade operations.

H.E. Mubarak Matar Al Mansoori emphasized that this partnership aligns with Abu Dhabi Customs’ mission to leverage the latest smart technologies in line with the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision. He highlighted how the integration of the Wayn and Waslah platforms will further strengthen the Emirate’s position as a global hub for logistics and trade, driving digital collaboration with private sector partners and enhancing the quality of services offered to clients.

Tariq Ahmed Al Wahedi, Group CEO of 7X, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, noting that the partnership reflects a shared vision of creating an integrated digital ecosystem that supports the UAE’s journey towards leadership in the digital economy. By deploying the Wayn and Waslah platforms, 7X reaffirms its commitment to advancing digital innovation, boosting efficiency, and providing secure and reliable data exchange in the logistics and trade sectors.

This collaboration sets a prime example of how government entities and national institutions can work together to foster operational efficiency, improve information security, and empower a robust digital economy. It also reinforces Abu Dhabi’s global standing as a top destination for business and technology, further solidifying the UAE’s leadership in trade, logistics, and advanced services.
